William B. Peterman joined the fiscal analysis section of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in June 2011. His research focuses on macroeconomics, computational economics, and public finance. He is interested in questions about optimal taxation solved in macroeconomic models. He graduated from the Emory University in 2003 with highest honors in economics and mathematics. In the summer of 2011, he received his Ph.D. from the University of California, San Diego. He will present his work on carbon taxes.
